EVENT DETAILS AT WW!
Wizarding Wilmington is still in the planning stages with it's event schedule. Here's a bit of information to wet your whistle! Diagon Alley Main Street Wilmington will transform into Diagon Alley--filled with games for kids, food vendors, merchandise vendors, shops that have been converted to look like your favorite places in the Harry Potter series, photographers, and much more! Diagon Alley will also have "The Theory Wall" posted for you to write your predictions for the final book! Put something up or read what others have written! Knockturn Alley Running parrallel to Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley will also offer vendors and games and perhaps a bit of the scarier side of the novels including a "Haunted" trail that will lead you through scenes and places sure to give you goosebumps! Watch your back! The Diagon Alley Stage This stage will offer a variety of music through out the evening with local bands and even some Wizard Rockers! Set to play so far are: Witchcraft & Wizardary, H.I.S.S./Pureblood Princess, Rosmertas Rockers, the Azkaban Trio, Tom Riddle & Friends and the Whomping Willows! The Knockturn Alley Stage This stage will offer a few Hogwarts classes and skits preformed by members of hp-ohio! Classes held will be Professor Sprout's Herbology, Potions with Professor Snape, Fright Crafters, Jim and his Increadible Snakes, and Magic Class from Mysical Magic. Skits preformed will be Wand Safety and You, Quidditch Safety and You and Defense Against the Dark Arts and You (all written by Coramandragora of hp-ohio). The Knockturn Alley Stage will also host several Look-A-Like Contest! So put on your best costume and test yourself against other fans to see who can be the best Harry, Hermione, Ron, or any of the characters from the novels! Hogwarts Welcoming Feast Come one, come all! Another year at Hogwarts! The General Denver will again transform into our favorite school for witchcraft and wizardry. Tickets are now on sale for the Start of Term Feast. Cost is $10.00. No kid rates. Dragon Hair & Eye of Newt, Fresh Veggies, and Drink. There will be 20 tickets available every 15 minutes from 5:00 pm to 9:45 pm. Any unsold tickets will be available the evening of the party. Call Hogwarts at 937-383-4141 to reserve tickets. The Quidditch Pitch The Ohio Quidditch League (sponsored by hp-ohio) will host a quidditch tournement including exposition games between the Daytonnati Dementors, The Columbus Cruciatus and the Ohio Northern United as well as some skill games for kids! Come on and try out! Check out some video of the recent Bayou Quidditch League tournement to get an idea of how the game is played (and see if you can spot some of the hp-ohio members)! And here are some photos from a few of the hp-ohio seasons: June and April  The Owl HuntKeep your eyes peeled! Throughout all of Wizarding Wilmington the Post Owls will be hidden and waiting for you to find them! Spotting all of these owls will earn you some rewards! Character Parade Watch as your favorite Harry Potter characters walk down Main Street! Movies The Murphy Theater will be showing Prisonor of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire throughout the night! Stop in to watch your favorite part or just kick back and enjoy the movie marathon! Children's Games and Crafts! Throughout Wilmington there will be lots of activities for kids to partake in! The Wilmington Public Library will have crafts, games and an Owl presentation with Betty Ross. Books'N'More will have a crafting session using lots of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. Gavin Park will host several quidditch skill games for kids to "try out" for positions in between the exposition games. There will also be a bouncy house and carnaval type of games near Hogwarts! Flourish and Blots Books'N'More will be open all night to browse through the lastest books and will host a Book 7 discussion panel led by hp-ohio members.
