This Just in From the Wizarding Wireless! 1 Feb 07 - JKR Announces the release date for Book 7 (DH) - 21 Jul 07! 13 Jan 07 - Liz hosts the Jan Game Night huddle where new members are wounded playing hours of Spoons! 11 Jan 07 - JKR finishes writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 30 Dec 06 - The traditional New Years Eve Day luncheon is held in Columbus Arena District at Max and Ermas followed by a romp through the North market. It is again decided we will actually eat at the North Market next year. 21 Dec 06 - Book 7 title is released on JKR's website: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! 1 Dec 06 - hp-ohio hosts The Crystal Ball, a magical yule celebration in Loudenville Ohio. The event brought 63 fans together to dine and dance the night away! 19 Nov 06- Daytonnati has their Regional Huddle at Claddagh Irish Pub in Mason. 10 Nov 06 - Columbus has their Regional Huddle at Dave and Busters. 4 Nov 06 - Cleveland has their Regional Huddle. 21 Oct 06 - Cora and Gabe hose the HPHP 3.0! There was a yummy mexican dinner, lots of candy and even more dancing! There may or may not be videos on You Tube... 30 Sep 06 - Mike hosts a rainy Quidditch game and OSU football! 24 Sep 06 - hp-ohio visits the Ohio Ren Faire! Members ran amuck watching jousts, mudd shows, buying swords and consorted with Pirates! 26 Aug 06 - Back to Hogwarts! Michelle and Kevin host a relaxing huddle at their home in Columbus, giving memebers a chance to gab and gossip! 26-28 Jul 06 - Lumos 2006 takes place out in Las Vegas! 17 Jun 06 - Manda hosted a Quidditch Tournement in Dayton. Check out a more detailed account on the Feature Page! 28 Apr 06 - The April Harry Huddle was held out in Dublin Ohio at Mike's home, jointly hosted by Brian and Candi. The theme was Death Eater Mafia and FIRE! Members played several rounds of Death Eater Mafia and chilled out by a huge bonfire, roasting hotdogs and s'mores. 11 Mar 06 - The March Harry Huddle was a combination of viewing the newly released GoF DVD and celebrating SlytherinJenn's birthday! We also went to Toys'R'Us to help with Quidditch Tryouts for kids. The little tykes tossed Quaffles into three hoops to earn a place as chaser and hit bludgers around the room to be labled beaters. After the event we all headed to Jenn's for TACOS (Sorry, Ced), cake and GoF! 18 Feb 06 - The Return of the Valentine Voyage! Members gathered at Manda and Renee's apartment to celebrate Valentines day with a little SHIP conversation and games. Everyone enjoyed some home made pizzas and dressed as their favorite SHIPs. Games of SHIP charades, SHIP wars and SHIP Trivia were played. 21 Jan 06 - The first Harry Huddle of the new year was held in the Cleveland area at Brandywine Ski resort. Members drove up the night before and enjoyed a day of skiing the slopes for our "Weasley Sweater Winter Outting." Everyone wore their very own Weasley sweaters and enjoyed the winter fun! 31 Dec 05 - A few members form hp-ohio got together for a New Years Eve day lunch in Columbus followed by running around the North Market. 17 Dec 05 - The first hp-ohio Yule Ball goes off without a hitch! We all had a very pleasant meal in fancy dress and then played some rocking tunes to dance to! Read more about this event on the feature page! 17/18 Nov 05 - hp-ohio hosts line parties around the state for members to meet up and catch the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 28 Oct 05 - The Harry Potter Halloween Party was hugely sucessful! The HPHP, as it's affectionatly known as, was held on Friday, October 28th at the Hanover House Bed & Breakfast in Newark, Ohio. The costume theme for this year was fanfiction/OOC. Dinner and snacks were enjoyed by all, even the late comers. There was bonfires with spooky stories and bathtubs to fit the majority of attendees so much fun was had. We even discussed Harry! Thanks to Liz, Cora and Val for putting it all together! 6 Oct 05 thru 10 Oct 05 - The Witching Hour takes place in Salem Mass. hp-ohio members in attendance: General Manda, Head Girl R, PBG (Donna), Ciberw0lf (Matt), Lady Bug (Beckie). Much recruiting was done on hp-ohio's behalf as Manda passed out bumperstickers to anyone willing to take. Looking forward to bring in some new blood to our less populated areas! For summary and pictures of the event please visit General Manda's LJ. 25 Sep 05 - The September HH was a bit of a wash as members tried to meet at a park in Columbus but were unable to locate each other and several had engagements pop up at the last minute. But all was not lost! The C-Bus members had a but of a meet-up later on the 30th of September to hang out, eat dinner and be generaly HP nerdy. 21 Aug 05 - Jen hosts the Aug HH starting at the Loveland Castle. Members toured the castle, taking many pictures (even one Cora laying crumpled at the bottom of a tower... like a certain wizard we all know...), and looked for secret passages. After the tour members retreated to Jen's apartment for a cookout and book/theory discussions. 08 Aug 05 - GoF receives a PG-13 rating (that should make it a bit more interesting...) 31 Jul 05 - Both Dayton/Cincy and Cleveland host HBP discussions that introduce some new members of hp-ohio to the fold! Lots of interesting theories and questions are posed, as well as some good natured squeeing over the book! 23 Jul 05 - Mugglenet completes posting a long interview between JKR, Mugglenet's Emerson and TLC's Melissa with some really great questions - and many HBP spoilers! Be warned! 22 Jul 05 - Columbus hp-ohio held their initial HBP dicussion meet-up at Chili's. 10 members attended and had a great time delving into the book in a group setting for the first time. 21 Jul 05 - JKR updates her site with news, extras and changes to the Rubish Bin. 18 Jul 05 - Manda and Lauren of hp-ohio attended the recording of Geek Speak TV for July. The show's theme was Fantasy. They joined a group of fans to give their initial responses to HBP. 15 Jul 05 - hp-ohio aids Wilmington Books'N'More in hosting a huge release party for HBP! It was a wonderful success and fun was had by all who attended. We had a great cook out despite the weather and got to know many of our new members! As ever, Cheryl is a wonderful cook and host! 27-29 May 05 - hp-ohio completed its first year at MARCON at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Conventions Center in Columbus. Members answered questions and recruited new members at a lovely table in a main thoroughfare, won Best Presentation in the Masquerade, and hosted a lively room party. It will be on page 80. It will be in they May issue and can be seen on flights that month. 20 Apr 05 - GOF trailer confirmed to show during ABC's airing of CoS on May 7th, 7pm EST. 16 Apr 05 - Manda hosts the second Cosplay Harry Huddle at her apartment in Dayton. Members continued work on costumes and helped one another to cut fabric and sew. Members got together at Katya's place for an international potluck and to play QWC. 8 Mar 05 - HBP covers are released! 20 Feb 05 - hp-ohio conducts its Valentine Voyage! This Harry Huddle was for the purpose of talking about SHIPs in the HP fandom.
